Featured Car #8

This is Bill Gertsenberg’s 1963 ½ Ford Galaxie.  Purchased in 1994, Bill brought this car home to his shop and began disassembly.  Pieces scattered all over his shop he began restoring and replacing parts as he pieced the ol Gal back together again.  He received a lot of and picking and harassment from the neighboring shops telling him it would never see the light of day.  Two years later it was ready to rock and roll.  As you can see here, he proved them all wrong.  Great job Bill!  Every nut, bolt, screw and clip has been removed, restored and/or replaced, going over every inch of this fine looking car.

Rangoon red
Pearl flake roof
390 w/355HP
3 deuces
4 speed
Cast iron headers
Customized instrument cluster
Air conditioning
Power brakes
Power steering
Heavier springs for a higher ride height

The door panels with the black carpet and black carpeted floor rather than the usual corresponding red and the red floor carpet.  Adds a nice touch if I do say so myself.

This is no pampered car either as Bill will tell you.  He built it to have fun with and it gets no special treatment.

What better toy to have than a 1963 1/2 Galaxie!
